US SEC delays decision on BlackRock BTC spot ETF options until 4/24
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has announced that it will delay its decision on whether to approve BlackRock's bitcoin spot ETF options for listing and trading until April 24, according to The Block. The regulator said that it "believes it is appropriate to provide an extended period of time to take this action." Earlier in the day, the SEC announced that it had delayed its decision on whether to approve the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) and MIAX Pearl LLC (a division of Miami International Holdings) to list and trade bitcoin spot ETF options. The deadline has also been pushed back to April 24th.
