Trump “Biden out of touch with crypto...I'm open to it”

Former US President Donald Trump said at a dinner with supporters in Palm Beach, Florida, that he will “stop being hostile to cryptocurrencies and embrace them,” according to WatchGuru. US President Joe Biden doesn't even know what cryptocurrency is. If you like cryptocurrency, you better vote for me.”

Fox Business reporter Eleanor Terrett commented, “This is the first time Trump has publicly endorsed (mentioned) a cryptocurrency other than BTC. He even mentioned U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Gary Gensler.” Earlier, in March, Trump said in a CNBC interview that “if I'm elected, I'm not going to use regulators to crack down on the use of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.” In a recent report, British financial firm Standard Chartered (SC) said that “a Trump victory could lead to a more favorable regulatory environment for cryptocurrencies.”

In the same speech, he also said he would add cryptocurrencies to his list of campaign contribution options.
