Otherworld Signs MOU with Blockchain Technology Specialist Nestree
Otherworld, which combines the world's most popular webtoon IP with blockchain technology to create unique experiences, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with blockchain and Web3 specialist Nestree for a strategic partnership. Nestree will work closely with Otherworld on platform development and community activation, and the partnership is part of a long-term strategy to maximize synergies between the two companies.
This collaboration will enable the integration of OtherWorld's services across Nestree's various platforms, expanding the opportunities for users to easily engage with the platform and utilize its various services. By integrating OtherWorld's content and platform with the Nestree operating ecosystem, Nestree will showcase new possibilities for utilizing blockchain and Web3 technologies. The company will also focus on building a social and community-driven ecosystem where users can more actively engage with the platform and experience ownership.

In particular, OtherWorld has the exclusive Web3 rights to one of the most successful Korean webtoons of all time, “SoloLeveling,” which has over 14 billion views worldwide. With more than 14 billion views worldwide, the webtoon has exploded in popularity, reaching the No. 6 spot on Crunchyroll's popularity list after just one season of animation. Since August 2024, Otherworld has been running an open beta for SoloLeveling: Unlimited, with a full launch planned for August 2024. The platform offers a unique experience where users own digital assets through an interactive collection of NFTs, combined with social media features.
OtherWorld has also worked with Nestree to create a unique virtual space within its metaverse platform, The Sandbox, utilizing its signature IPs “Sololeveling” and “The Ranker Who Lives Twice”. Through this partnership, the two companies will further expand the IP-based immersive Metaverse experience and provide users with new ways to interact and engage using Web3 technology.
