Starting this June, Mercari, a Japanese secondary trading platform, will accept payments in BTC.

Customers can select BTC as a payment method on the website, and Melcoin, Mercari's cryptocurrency subsidiary, will convert the BTC into yen for payment. According to the media, Merukari is Japan's largest second-hand trading platform, with 22 million monthly active users as of July 2023. It was founded in 2013.
