Hana Securities to launch STO through digital trading of webtoon-based IP revenue rights
Hana Securities (CEO Kang Sung-mook) announced on the 18th that it has signed a business agreement with Webtoonall (CEO Choi Sung-ki), a company that conducts various businesses using webtoons, to invest in fragments. Webtoonall has developed and operates a digital trading platform for IP revenue rights based on webtoons, and plans and produces various contents such as webtoons, movies, and dramas. It is also presenting contents for experiential exhibitions using augmented reality (AR) and developing educational solutions with artificial intelligence (AI) webtoons. Hana Securities signed a business agreement with Webtoonall to pave the way for piecemeal investments in webtoons. Webtoonall will develop and provide a platform for product trading, and Hana Securities will be in charge of account management and trust services required for trading. "Recently, many movies and dramas based on webtoons have been produced and are doing well at the box office, so interest in webtoons is higher than ever," said Sang-soo Kim, Vice President of Hana Securities. "With this MOU, Hana Securities has created an opportunity for customers to invest in works they are interested in."
