According to Cointelegraph, Jeffrey Edell, CEO of US social network MeWe, commented on the US government's concerns about TikTok, saying, "The concerns surrounding TikTok are valid. However, I don't think the focus should be on one app or one country. Companies should create and commit to strict guidelines to protect personal data, digital identity, and the privacy of their users, regardless of the country in which they operate.
