CNBC "BTC to experience unprecedented volatility this week" Bitcoin is currently resisting 70K
Ran Neuner, host of CNBC's Cryptotrader show, told X that he expects "massive volatility this week. The Coinbase-SEC (U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission) lawsuit is just the beginning. This week marks the first quarterly close since the launch of the BTC spot ETF and the largest BTC options expiry in history ($9.4 billion in derivatives). A battle is brewing between institutions that are long and hedge funds that are short. This battle will continue over the next three days."
Meanwhile, renowned crypto analyst Michael van de Poppe told X: "BTC resistance is forming at $70,000, and we expect the short-term price action to be unstable. If it holds above $6.7 in the short term, we could see a test of the all-time high. Overall, the market is close to a BTC all-time high." Another crypto analyst and trader, Ali Martinez, offered a similar analysis. "BTC's main resistance zone is between $70,180 and $70,600." "There are 29.2K addresses holding 397,000 BTC in this price range. If BTC breaks this resistance, it will move towards a new all-time high," said Martinez, who had a slightly different analysis than CNBC's Ran Neuner.
