Blockchain Web3 market quiets down, but what's the big news?
The English Premier League (EPL) soccer team Manchester City has partnered with Quidd, the NFT marketplace subsidiary of Animoca Brands. The multi-year partnership is designed to drive new promotions, enhance the fan experience, and develop and launch digital collectibles. A series of customizable digital player cards will launch on May 2 (local time).
According to a CoinGecko report, the NFT collateralized loan market surpassed $2.1 billion in trading volume in Q1. Among them, Blend, an NFT mortgage protocol under the NFT marketplace BLUR, had a trading volume of $2.02 billion in the first quarter, with a monthly market share of 93% as of March.
ARKM claimed that the current value of a $2 million NFT purchased by Justin Bieber in 2022 is worth $100,000. That's a 94.7% drop in value in just two years. According to Arkham data, Justin Bieber's alleged wallet currently holds $500,000 worth of ETH and APE.
