Solana surpasses 10 million new wallets in January...WEN airdrop impact.

The number of new wallets on the Solana (SOL) network surpassed 10 million in January, according to data from The Block. This is the highest monthly number of new wallets since May 2022, and the upward trend has continued through the end of the month. "The recent increase in the number of new addresses on the Solana network was largely driven by the airdrop of WEN, a memecoin issued by Jupiter (JUP), a liquidity aggregator in the Solana ecosystem," said one analyst. Earlier, Jupiter announced that it will test issue the meme token WEN via LFG Launchpad before issuing its own token JUP, and the airdrop application will be open until the 29th (local time). As of now, WEN has been airdropped to more than 1 million Solana addresses, and nearly half of the eligible wallets have not yet claimed the airdrop.
