YugaLabs "will no longer support marketplaces that do not guarantee NFT royalties".
BAYC developer Yuga Labs has announced that it "will stop supporting marketplaces that do not guarantee royalties to NFT creators," according to The Block. The announcement, which comes ahead of the launch of MagicEden's Ethereum NFT marketplace, is aimed at BLUR, which has dominated the existing NFT marketplace space. BLUR has been gaining market share by lowering the royalties paid to creators and offering low fees. "Yugalabs' policy change is a move to support BAYC-MAYC and other NFT projects that have already generated royalty revenue," said Steven Zheng, analyst at TheBlock Research.
