US SEC asks ETH spot ETF issuers to file S-1 amendments...approval expected

"Two issuers of Ethereum (ETH) spot ETFs received comments from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) last week on their S-1 filings and are preparing amendments," The Block reports, citing anonymous sources. The amendments are due today (April 21)." While one of the issuers said the SEC's S-1 amendment comments were reasonable and they expect approval soon, the other said it was premature to expect approval.
The first step in the approval process for ETH spot ETFs, a 19b-4 rule change review request, was approved in May. According to Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas, the ETH spot ETF is expected to launch on July 2 (local time). Meanwhile, Bitwise recently filed an S-1 amendment for the ETH spot ETF.
