Robinhood reports $43 million in crypto transaction-based revenue in Q4 of last year
Robinhood has released its results for the fourth quarter of last year, reporting that it generated $43 million in cryptocurrency transaction-based revenue during the period, according to Blockworks. This brings the company's total transaction-based revenue for last year to $200 million, an increase of 8 percent year-over-year. "Robinhood plans to launch cryptocurrency trading services for users in the European Union (EU). We will continue to explore opportunities to expand our services by entering the UK and EU markets." According to the report, Robinhood's total revenue for the fourth quarter of last year was $4.71 billion, beating estimates of $4.57 billion. Robinhood shares were up 9.12% in after-hours trading following the earnings announcement.
