City of Buenos Aires officially condemns Worldcoin..."violating consumer laws"
The accusations and noise against Worldcoin are frequent. According to Cryptoslate, the city government of Buenos Aires, Argentina, has issued an official statement of condemnation, stating that "Worldcoin (WLD) violated consumer laws with abusive clauses in its user agreement." The city says it conducted its own audit of WorldCoin and found that "the foundation applies Cayman Islands law to Argentine users, forcing them to waive their right to file complaints. It is also questionable whether the service is available to users under the age of 18, stores personal data, and regularly deletes this data." WorldCoin was also investigated by authorities in Spain and Portugal last year over its handling of personal data.
