BTC, the most widely adopted digital asset...more than a payment method
"Bitcoin is the most widely adopted digital asset and is viewed by many as more than a payment method," Jay Jacobs, head of active ETFs at BlackRock, said in a recently released video, according to WatchGuru. "Some investors also see BTC as a store of value, a hedge against inflation, and a vehicle for innovation, including democratizing blockchain," he added. Meanwhile, BlackRock's BTC spot ETF, IBIT, held 272,139 BTC (valued at $17.06 billion) as of Sunday (local time).
