NFT marketplace MagicEden launches BTC Runes trading service

NFT marketplace MagicEden has announced the launch of a beta version of its Bitcoin Runes trading service, according to The Block. The service was originally scheduled to launch a day later, but the platform was completed ahead of schedule. Users will be able to trade Runes and Odinals through the Magic Eden Wallet. Runes is a protocol designed to create fungible tokens on the Bitcoin blockchain and was developed by Odinance protocol creator Casey Rodarmor as an alternative to the BRC-20 token standard.
