US lawyer: "26 BTC transferred to Satoshi address, attempt to identify Satoshi"
Jeremy Hogan, a U.S. cryptocurrency lawyer known for his support of Ripple (XRP), wrote on X (formerly Twitter) that "the 26 BTC (about $1.2 million) transferred to bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto's wallet on June 6 (local time) is an attempt by someone to unmask Satoshi." "The U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) requires taxpayers who receive $10,000 or more in cryptocurrency to self-report information such as name and address within 15 days of receipt," he explained. Meanwhile, Satoshi is believed to have more than 1.1 million BTC in multiple wallet addresses, according to blockchain analytics platform Arkham Intelligence.
